3-Day Lettering Workshop in Phoenix, ArizonaThursday, July 6th through Saturday, July 8th LETTERING WORKSHOPS The first part of the lettering workshop is focused on honing your Gothic (Block) letter forms through a hands-on process of practice, personal critique and expert guidance. It all starts with a pencil, drawing and developing an understanding of the basic letter forms. These then provide the basis for building your brush skills. With the basics under control, the next two days are given over to developing a range of techniques to add a little something extra to your painted letter forms. Mike will guide you through a variety of lettering styles (Casual and Script) and effects, including: basic shadows; outlines; bevels; convex and concave lettering. The aim is to accelerate your ability to create more distinctive lettering for all sorts of purposes. Workshop hours are from 10am - 4pm with an hour break for lunch. The instruction in the workshop builds each day on the techniques learned the previous day Day 1: Brush techniques and care. Learning layout and block style lettering techniques. Day 2: Learn casual style lettering and script style lettering techniques. Day 3: Learn shadow and bevel lettering techniques. The Grand Nationals Roadster Show
We will be at the GNRS the weekend of February, 3rd pinstriping live in the Panel Jam with over 20 other Kustom Kulture Artists. Every year we come out to Pomona and bring Kustom pieces to donate for the selected charity and this year is no different. Come out and see some of the best Kustoms, Lowriders, and Hot Rods in the country. SEE YOU THERE!
Catch us at Sema this Year
We have the opportunity to attend this years Sema show in Las Vegas along side a couple other kustom paint companies. We are going to be there representing Freak Flake and looking to network with anyone in the Kustom paint world. As painters we always meet new likeminded people we can learn from or influence so we are super excited to attend this year. We will have a secret reveal of something painted with our products for Trulers. We will be painting live at the Car-rep Automotive Products booth.

Diamondbacks PanelJam
I was offered the chance to set up a panel Jam at the Diamondbacks Stadium for what they are calling the Hispanic Family Fiesta and ofcorse I had to bring some of the best artists available for the job. We will be pinstriping live, selling merch, and I will also be painting a large panel live while the show is going on. There’s gonna be vendors, music, food, and good times all day so bring the family and come hang out with us.

Flying out to Washington State to visit our NorthWest Chapter and Paint the city of Everette. Artists from all over the country will arrive and paint walls currated by Heper and the rest of the Graff_Aholeks Nort West Chapter.

Cruisn Nationals 2022
Catch us at the West Coast Kustoms Cruisin Nationals in Santa Maria on May 27,28,29. Friday we will be at the cruise handing out free stickers and filming the cool cars and people for our blog. Sat. and Sun. You can catch us in our booth at the show and at the Pinstripers Charity Panel Jam Pinstriping for the Charity Auction. DinoStyles and I will be pinstriping and lettering so make sure to bring anything you may want us to customize. We will have our full Freak Flake inventory with us including the crushed glass. Stop by and say hi.

First Fridays
We are having our First Fridays event tonight with vendors, food, art, music, and drinks. come by and hang out at our indoor and outdoor venue The Grand Arthaus. I will have merch and will also be working on a sign for a local Tattoo shop, You can see how its done and ask questions as well.

We will be all set up at the AZ Rockabilly Bash in Peoria, Arizona at Lake Pleasant this year with a full booth and live pinstriping for anyone interested just bring us something to letter or stripe. Tyler Texas Paint Session
This March we are heading to Tyler Texas from the 3rd thru the 7th to paint a bunch of walls with the Graff-Aholeks. We usually travel to different cities where the Collective has a Chapter and throw a small Jam we call The Going All City Jam. (formally known as the Grill and Chill) The Paint Jam has been to Washington State, Chicago, Texas, and Started in Arizona a few years back. This year is even cooler because the Graff-Aholeks are celebrating 25 years of being together and theirs alot going on. Stay posted or come out and watch us get busy on these walls.

Procreate Lettering Workshop
My Procreate Lettering class is now full but I will have more classes available on the calendar soon. This class will teach the basics of procreate thru a beginner lettering point of view. Starting with layers, Type, and shortcuts to make everyday designing on Procreate simple and effective. The Workshop will be in my studio at The Grand Arthause in the Arts District in Downtown Phoenix, Az.
