Washington Workshop
On Thursday September 22nd we touched down in Washington ready for a great week of painting, eating new food, and of course the first ever Pinstriping workshop in Everett, WA. The workshop was held at Scuttlebutt Brewery on Cedar Road and it was a blast. With 14 students signed up I thought it was going to be a challenge for me to keep up but I had the help of my beautiful woman Mo and of course Hyper and Bri were an amazing help too. I didn’t want to have to bring a bunch of panels and paint on the plane with me so Hyper being the awesome brother he is offered to cut and make the plexiglass panels for the students to use in class. Every student went in not having a clue on how this class was going to be but every one of them got the hang of it faster than they thought. I am looking forward to having more classes out in Washington and who knows maybe even around the rest of the United States as well. Street Rod Nationals/NSRA Nationals
Mary and I got to visit Colorado again to pinstripe and paint for a good cause. My buddies George and Kim Weldon put on (Weldon’s Panel Jam) A kustom culture gathering of Pinstripers from all over the U.S. and every year we paint panels to be auctioned off for a good cause. The show and auction is a part of the NSRA Rocky Mountain Nationals held at the Pueblo, CO Fairgrounds which is easily one of the biggest shows we attend every year. The panel jam has been going on since 2017 and I have attended every year since then. As you can probably tell Mary and I love to travel and its gratifying to us knowing we can visit these beautiful places and help out for a good cause. After the show we drove up to Manitou Springs and and enjoyed the cool weather with some coffee from the locals, ate some good food, drank water from the natural spring fountains (five fountains located in Downtown Manitou), and even got to play some Skee-ball at the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade. That town was amazing and I cant wait to go back. I will post another video of that soon.

GNRS 2022 Recap
We had a chance to head out to the Grand National Roadster show and lay some paint down with the best in the Nation. Thanks to 1shot, PPG, and our good friend Marshall Knapp we raised over $196,000 for the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation. The weather was great and the cars were even greater; GNRS also celebrated 90 years of the Ford Deuce and had a special exhibit for The Gathering of Hot VW’s. Here is a quick recap of the fun times in Pomona over the weekend.
Creative Workshop
The Creative Workshop. Every Thursday from 5pm to ten
We have an open workshop every Thursday from 5pm to 10pm where we teach Lettering of all Types and Pinstriping. It is free to come out and we have all the supplies you need for sale in the shop. Classes are free but reach out via email or DM me on Instagram @spawk. The shop is a beacon of inspiration for creatives and you are guaranteed to leave here wanting to learn more and create. Think of it as walking in to a creative’s workspace while they are creating and you can watch it all go down. There’s no set curriculum and you can ask all the questions you want; you will learn whatever we are creating at the time you walk in. Don’t miss it.

Here’s a look at how sign painters do things either traditionally or their way. I have always been a lover of letterform and anything from typography to the traditional hand painted sign and I find this Documentary very interesting.
